AAO-HNS Percy Memorial Research Award—Open to any experienced Otolaryngologist investigator who resides in the U.S. or Canada. One year, any topic, non-renewable, $25,000 maximum total costs, one available annually.

AAO-HNS Health Services Research Grant—Open to any Otolaryngologist at any level in the U.S. or Canada. Project must focus on use of health services research techniques to study otolaryngic disorders, practice patterns, or quality of life issues. One year, non-renewable, $10,000 maximum total costs, up to two available annually.

AAO-HNSF Rande H. Lazar Health Service Research Grant - Open to any Otolaryngologist at any level in the U.S. or Canada. Projects must focus on socioeconomic data for otolaryngology. The award is intended to promote increased participation by otolaryngologists in the rapidly expanding area of health services research. One year, non-renewable, $10,000 maximum total costs, one available during even years

COMING SOON! AAO-HNSF Bobby R. Alford Endowed Research Grant —The AAO-HNSF Bobby R. Alford Endowed Research Grant will be awarded beginning in 2014. The purpose of the Bobby R. Alford Endowed Research Grant is to support innovative research in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery and help facilitate the career development of young investigators. This mentored research award is intended to promote research that could ultimately lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will translate into improved understanding into the cause, treatment or outcome for diseases of the head and neck. Proposed projects may be related to any area of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, but must have direct or potential clinical significance for patients seen by otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeons. Basic science, translational, and clinical research projects may be funded.

AHNS/AAO-HNSF Young Investigator Combined Award— Open to new full time academic surgeons working on contempoary basic or clinical research skills focused on neoplastic disease of the head and neck in the U.S. or Canada. Two year, non-renewable, $40,000 maximum ($20,000 per year), one available annually.

Harrison Memorial Research Award—Open to physicians (MD at the resident, fellow or junior faculty stage) or PhD scientist in the U.S. or Canada, to support clinical research projects in otology or neurotology designed to increase understanding of hearing disorders. The Triological Career Development Awards provide support for the research career development of otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons who have made a commitment to focus their research endeavors on patient-oriented research such as clinical trials, translational research, outcomes research and health services research.
