Home Study Course Online

The 2008 Home Study Course will have a new test format available. The new test format will be an online version. The availability to register for this test format is limited and will be available for registrations received on or before August 1, 2008.

Test format options for registrations received after August 1, 2008 will be the paper test format or the CD ROM test format. Registrations received after August 1, 2008 with the online test format selected will receive the CD ROM test format since the online test format option will not be available.

An email address is required for the online test format so test information can be sent to subscribers; the email address needs to be a stable, individual user’s email address.

Home Study Course subscribers with the online test format will log in to a specified website to take the test and submit it online at that website. The test and software will no longer need to be loaded on your PC. The test will be scored and recorded effective the test deadline date. Tests submitted prior to the deadline will not be considered final until the test deadline date.

The online test format is similar to the current CD ROM test format in that immediately after an answer is submitted, the correct response is revealed and the commentary is given immediately after each question. Prior to the beginning of the test, there will be an option to print a PDF of the test questions. To validate accuracy, answers to some questions may be adjusted once all tests are scored for the deadline. Therefore, the preliminary score received on test submission may not be the final score.
